Véronique Delcenserie obtained her degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Liège, Belgium, where she also defended a doctoral thesis in Veterinary Sciences, in food microbiology. She completed two post-doctoral fellowships in Canada between 2006 and 2009. A first at INAF (Institute of Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods), Laval University, and a second at CRIFS (Canadian Food Safety Research Institute), University of Guelph. Then, she held the position of research manager at CRIFS. Since December 2011, Véronique Delcenserie has been a professor at the University of Liège at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, within the FARAH research center (Fundamental and Applied Research for Animal and Health). She is the author of more than 60 publications and holds 4 international patents. The research themes of Prof. V. Delcenserie focus on food microbiology and microbial ecosystems of the digestive tract.
