Dr. Nguyen Giang Thu Lan is an early-career researcher at the Laboratory of Aquatic Animal Health and Alternatives to Antibiotics (A4 Lab), led by Assoc. Prof. Ha Thanh Dong, under the Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management (AARM) Program, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Her research focuses on aquatic animal health, fish vaccinology, mucosal immunology, and alternatives to antibiotics in aquaculture.

She has experience in the development and evaluation of bacterial vaccines for fish, including oral, immersion, and injectable vaccination strategies for Asian seabass and Nile tilapia. Her expertise includes vaccine formulation, fish challenge models, immunological analyses, and the assessment of vaccine efficacy under both laboratory and field conditions.

Dr. Lan is currently involved in research projects focused on innovative vaccination technologies to reduce antimicrobial use in aquaculture, including nanobubble-assisted immersion vaccination, oral vaccine platforms and the field evaluation of vaccination strategies in Nile tilapia.
